As many of you know, 2011 will mark the 80th anniversary of the foundation of Goodenough College. Originally established to offer a London home to postgraduate students from the then Dominions, the College now attracts students from 100 countries annually. We proudly maintain the ethos of our founder, Frederick Goodenough, by providing a unique combination of diversity and collegiality within a vibrant social and interdisciplinary context for those often new to London.
Eight decades on seems the right moment to celebrate an institution that has experienced and reflected huge changes, political and cultural, without ever losing sight of its core values and mission. The College has therefore commissioned an illustrated book to mark the occasion from Third Millennium, the UK’s leading publisher on major British institutions – including many of its finest universities and colleges.
Much more than a history, The World in a London Square will be a richly illustrated and beautifully produced panorama of the life of the College and its people over many generations. Elsewhere on this microsite you can find out how to buy this book at a discounted early price. This will be a great tribute to a very special place.
